Traditional Musician, Wedding Harpist, Singer and Teacher

Aoife began playing music at school, starting fiddle and piano at the age of nine, later taking up the harp. She was awarded Honours at Senior Cert Grade on Piano and Grade Eight for Irish Harp with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, as well as receiving the gold medal for performance in both in 2011. Based on her exam results through the years, Aoife has been called to perform at the RIAM High Achiever Awards on numerous occasions for harp and piano.

In her studies at UCC Aoife specialised in performance, studying piano under Rhoda Dullea, harp under Lisa Canny and Fidelma Hanrahan, and fiddle under Connie O'Connell. In June 2017 she completed her MA studies (Music Performance - Harp) at CIT Cork School of Music under Johnny McCarthy, Claire O'Donnell, Anne-Marie Papin Labazordiere and Cormac McCarthy. Aoife is also a dedicated music teacher of piano, harp and fiddle/violin in Cork City.

Aoife is an experienced harpist and singer for weddings, ceremonies and functions, having performed at events throughout the country over the past number of years. These performances, teamed with her educational background, have provided her with a wealth of experience in solo playing, ensemble playing and singing.
